Agriturismo:

It is now completely official, all the documentation is (finally) complete. It was quite a mountain of administration, many rules, requirements and conditions we had to meet. No matter, we succeeded!

Our agriturismo is completely official and is registered under the name:

++ Podere Campo Gallina ++

How did we get this name? The official name of our location is Campo Gallina. Already since the year 1123 the location is listed under this name in all the registers. So Campo Gallina has been a well-known name in Santa Fiora and its surroundings for many years.

Our house (the farmhouse/ -Podere-) dates from about 700 years later. It was built in 1824.

Over 20 years ago this location was an active farm with cows, poultry, vegetable garden, grain, grapes and olives.

To honor the name and history, we have chosen this name for our agriturismo.

Bed & Breakfast:

The Bed & Breakfast will continue to be known by the name:

++ i due cipressi - Bed & Breakfast ++

Everyone can still find us under this name, the website remains the same, nothing has changed.

Meanwhile, we have already been able to cross a lot of jobs off the ToDo list.

The terraces of both rooms have been extended with their own (private) pool, 2 sun beds and a parasol. Really a must during the hot days we had in the month of July and are expected to expect this month as well.

A number of guests have already enjoyed the sun or shade, a fresh "dip" in the pool and besides the tranquility, the beautiful view, lots of privacy, our hospitality and a delicious breakfast, especially enjoy. And that makes us very happy, we also enjoy seeing our guests happy, that's what we did it for, this is what we wanted to achieve!

During the period from Oct. 21 to Nov. 3, 2024, we offer the following opportunity:

1. A minimum stay of 3 nights, in one of the rooms of i due cipressi Bed & Breakfast in Santa Fiora, in southern Tuscany.
2. During your stay, help us pick olives for at least 2 days (the day of arrival and the day of departure are not counted as picking day).
3. On the day of arrival (>16.00h) we welcome our "picking-stars" with a drink (hopefully) on the terrace and we serve on this first evening a delicious (spelt) pasta with freshly prepared Bolognese sauce.
4. During these days every morning the breakfast buffet will be ready at 08.00h so that we can start picking olives around 09.00h.
5. Lunch will be ready between 12:30 - 13:30 and from 14:00 - 16:00 we will continue picking the olives.
6. At the end of each day the olives are brought to the frantoio, you are free to come along and witness the process of pressing the olives.
7. With a little luck and depending on how busy the frantoio is, the freshly pressed oil can be taken away right away.
8. During the picking day, water, coffee or tea will be provided.
9. Everyone who helps picking olives for at least 2 days will receive 500ml of oil from the olives they picked themselves.
10. You can come earlier (< October 21) or stay longer (> November 3), outside the picking period. During this period we serve a delicious breakfast every morning and all day can be enjoyed in peace and privacy. Therefore, during this period the regular rate applies.

Conditions:

• i due cipressi has two, 2 person Bed & Breakfast rooms. The arrangement is based on 2 persons per room and therefore only bookable per 2 persons (if desired, it is possible to make 2 single beds).
• The days of olive picking we work with a total of 6 people (including ourselves) at the olive trees.
• Experience is not necessary, good mobility is. The olive trees are located higher up and the terrain is not completely flat.
• Be sure to wear good clothes (long pants) and sturdy shoes or boots.
• Please bring your own gardening gloves.
• For this arrangement we charge € 50.00 per night per room based on 2 persons. Assuming a minimum stay of 3 nights as mentioned at point 1 of the arrangement.
• The package does not include travel expenses. (plane ticket, car rental etc.)
• The package does not include dinner. (except on the day of arrival)
• Check-in (on day of arrival) between 16.00 - 20.00h.
• Check out (on day of departure) before 11.00h.

Olive Oil 2024:

When the olives are picked and the oil pressed then of course everyone can enjoy our olive oil!

We don't know the exact price yet, for now the expectation is that the price of a 500ml bottle will be between € 10,00 to € 12,00 (excluding possible shipping costs) It is possible to order a bottle of 500ml or a can of 3 or 5 liters.

In November 2024 we will come to NL, in that period the oil will be shipped or delivered.

Don't have plans for 2025 yet? And would you also like to enjoy all that +i due cipressi - Bed & Breakfast+ has to offer, request an option for a reservation in 2025.

From Friday, April 11, we will open the doors for the 2025 season and will be happy to welcome our first guests.

The price is not yet finalized, we expect it to be almost the same as this season (€ 125.00 per night based on 2 persons including a delicious daily breakfast).

What is already certain is that in 2025 we will keep one price for the whole season. Everyone will be able to enjoy the same privacy, tranquility, service and hospitality for the entire 2025 season.
