We would like to begin by wishing you a beautiful, loving and above all healthy 2025!

Look back at 2024:

 

The first year we were allowed to open the doors of our B&B. Getting all the documents and certificates needed for all the registrations took a little longer than expected, lucky this was our only setback ๐Ÿ™

Especially in the month of August, we were able to host many guests! Except for a few mornings, we served breakfast every morning.

The reactions on arrival were often already very positive and the reviews to be silent.

People enjoyed the peace and quiet a lot, were surprised by the view, enjoyed the comfort of our rooms, the terrace and the swimming pool.

One could more than appreciate our extensive breakfast buffet. The summer was beautiful, so the terrace was well used!

Many guests came to the B&B because of its beautiful location in southern Tuscany. With regularity we are also booked because of the various parties (Sagra's & Festa's) and cozy music evenings in and around Santa Fiora.

As soon as the dates of the various activities for 2025 are known we will share them with you through the newsletter.

 

And then perhaps the biggest question........ how did we experience all this ourselves?

Well, we enjoyed it, both of us found it really nice and fun to host people! The many compliments we received, we received like a warm blanket, it gave us a lot of energy and made us happy!

 

Beautiful new words we learned:

  • Meravigliose - beautiful
  • Rilassarsi - relax

Olive  harvest 2024:

 

What an experience this was!

Picking your own olives, bringing the harvest to the Frantoio (pressing plant) at the end of the day and being able to pick up your own olive oil two days later!

Really very special!

 

After the big rake was passed along the branches, sometimes it was like dancing with the nets to catch all the olives. Much of the leaves were taken out to finally put the olives in the crates. The sloping terrain where the trees are located also brought challenges.

Fortunately, people had responded to our Olive Picking arrangement, apart from the fact that it was tremendous fun together, these extra hands were also very welcome! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿงก

For this year (October-November) we are going to organize another Olive Picking arrangement. More information about this in the newsletter around June-July.

Very happy and satisfied with the olive oil, it is delicious!


Plans for 2025:

Out of the many plans, ideas and possibilities we still have we are going to start in the coming months:

  • Setting up the vegetable garden, which means making bins, installing fencing and sowing! After cutting down many trees and clearing old wood, there is material enough to make a cozy vegetable garden. Hopefully later this year we will be able to harvest enough to offer our guests “harvest of the day.
  • This means that we want to create an outdoor kitchen for our guests, so that they can prepare their own evening meals.
  • Preparations for a weekly Pizza evening: Of course, it can happen that you just don't feel like cooking for yourself and would rather stay at the B&B. Just a little longer to enjoy the terrace and the setting sun ๐Ÿ˜Ž! Then our pizza night can make this possible. Our nostalgic wood-fired pizza oven will be made ready for use. The idea is to offer a pizza night at least once a week, this night we (read Kees ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) will bake fresh pizzas for our guests.
  • Expanding Pasta Night: We have already offered on the day of arrival that one can enjoy a freshly prepared pasta Bolognese with a drink and dessert. For guests who book 3 nights or more with us, we would like to continue to offer this. If the day of arrival coincides with the pasta evening, you can also choose from the pasta evening menu.
    • For both pasta evening and pizza evening we serve a (soft) drink and a dessert (ice cream or tiramisu).
    • For both evenings we ask a small fee
    • We take into account allergies and intolerances
    • We alternate the menu of the pasta and pizza evenings

And last but not least......... (of which we are quite a bit very proud).

 

The first edition of our own e-book, entitled:

There is so much beauty here that it made us decide to start compiling it. The aim is to publish two new tips every month or to add to an existing one. As a reader of our newsletter you will automatically receive these tips with the next mailing.

Of course we understand it could just be, after reading our plans, our e-book with tips, seeing the photos, the desire is now to spend a vacation in beautiful Tuscany!
